Dirty talker, clean freak, wannabe do-gooder, and private contractor in the field of sanitation; John Clare is more often than not cleaning up his own messes. His work brings him to the center of strange occurrences around Daedalus County during all hours of the day and night, making it difficult for him to keep track of his personal life. Luckily he’s got Jonesy’s help. Though he has never considered himself married to his job, Jen regularly forces him to reevaluate the possibility.

Jonas “Kid” McKinsey (aka Jonesy)

John’s pessimistic ‘little brother’ is generally quiet by nature as a result of repeatedly being told to shut it over the years. Jonesy is nevertheless loyal, having been taken in by John through the ‘Super Siblings‘ program when he was six years old. Sharp and perceptive, he’s got a knack for deductive reasoning and problem solving. He’s usually on hand to help John with work, but is at times stolen away to undergo clandestine operations with Six, by whom he is hopelessly smitten.

Determined and indefatigable, Six interns as a dispatcher and works additional hours as an office girl at Icarus Township’s Police Headquarters so that she can pay for her criminology and biochemistry courses at Daedalus County College. She got her nickname at the station, constantly being volunteered for police lineups as Girl Number Six. “Female, Caucasian, small build, early to mid twenties, brown hair, brown eyes. I fit the profile of just about every female offender in this town. Lucky me.” Despite her grueling work schedule and mounds of class assignments, she finds time to practice her aspired profession as a detective by night. It’s not her fault if people leave their criminal case files lying open on their desks all day…

Jennifer Connolly

Voted”Top Cop” for the past ten months, Jennifer is one of the county’s best law enforcement officers. She has been a uniform down at Daedalus County Sheriff’s Office for over five years, surviving two shootouts, three kidnap & rescues, the nudist riots of ‘05, and Miss Mittens the Kitten getting stuck in Mrs. Dahoney’s bird feeder. John is her off-and-on love interest, though she is more likely to see him around a crime scene than across a candle-lit dinner table.
